Skin-contact white, Vin de France 2023

A white made like a red, left on its skins for weeks: amber colour, dried apricot, tea, a gentle grip.

An "orange" wine is a white wine made like a red: the juice stays in contact with the grape skins for several weeks, which gives it colour, aromas and a little tannin. This one is a Muscat from Roussillon, made with no added sulphites during vinification.

In the glass

Amber, slightly cloudy
Dried apricot, orange peel, black tea
Dry, with a gentle grip

Serving

Cool rather than cold, 12 to 14 °C. Open it an hour before.

Goes with

Spiced dishes, a tagine, hard cheeses.
